10 Linkedin settings you need to update

if you are posting content there.

Hi ,

Hopefully, I can save you a bunch of time today.

Linkedin has updated its distribution settings and if you are looking to get the biggest reach you can from your Linkedin posts, you need to optimize the settings.

Let’s dial in your profile…

1. Make Your Profile Public
• Go to Settings & Privacy > Visibility > Edit Your Public Profile.
• Toggle your profile to Public so it’s discoverable by anyone on LinkedIn and search engines.
• Ensure that your headline, photo, and summary are visible to all users, not just your connections.

2. Enable Creator Mode
• Activate Creator Mode to highlight your content and gain followers:
• Go to Me > View Profile and scroll down to the Resources section.
• Turn on Creator Mode and choose hashtags related to your industry or expertise

3. Customize Contact Settings
• Go to Settings & Privacy > Visibility > Who Can See Your Contact Info.
• Allow visibility for your email and links (like your website) to your connections or everyone, making it easier for people to reach out.
• Add your email, phone number (optional), and relevant links to your personal website or portfolio.

4. Enable Notifications
• In Settings & Privacy > Communications > Notifications, ensure:
• You receive updates about connections' posts to engage quickly.
• You’re notified about mentions and tags to join relevant conversations.

5. Manage Audience for Posts
• When posting content, select the audience carefully:
• Default to Anyone (Public) to maximize visibility.

6. Open Profile for Networking
• Enable the Open Profile option under Settings & Privacy > Visibility > Profile Viewing Options.
• This lets anyone message you without needing InMail or a connection, increasing opportunities for outreach.

7. Adjust Profile Viewing Options
• Set your Profile Viewing Options to Public (not private mode) so others can see when you view their profile and possibly connect with you.

8. Showcase Skills & Recommendations
• Go to Settings & Privacy > Visibility > Visibility of Your LinkedIn Activity > Skills & Endorsements.
• Ensure Display Skills is turned on and request endorsements from your connections to boost credibility.

9. Turn On "Notify Network"
• Go to your profile settings and toggle on Share Profile Updates with Network.
• This ensures that updates (e.g., new job roles, posts) are shared with your connections.

10. Use LinkedIn Analytics
• Review Post Analytics and Profile Analytics regularly (available under Creator Mode or from your dashboard) to understand what content resonates with your audience and refine your strategy.

SpaceX to launch Starship with new Starlink models LINK

  • SpaceX's seventh Starship test flight will attempt a significant milestone by deploying a set of mock Starlink satellites in a payload deployment test.

  • During the mission, Starship will release ten Starlink simulators on a suborbital path, with a planned splashdown in the Indian Ocean, aiming to validate its capability for future satellite missions.

  • The launch, set for January 10th, will feature a newly upgraded Starship with enhanced propulsion and increased propellant capacity, and will also attempt to catch the reusable booster on a landing pad.

  • OpenAI introduced o3, a new family of reasoning models that includes o3 and a smaller version called o3-mini, aiming to advance AI's reasoning capabilities.

  • The company claims o3 shows progress toward AGI in certain conditions, though it is not yet generally available; safety researchers can preview o3-mini, with wider access planned for next year.

  • o3 has excelled in internal tests, outperforming its predecessor in programming and mathematics benchmarks, although external validation is awaited to confirm these results.

New physics simulation accelerates robot training by 430,000x LINK

  • Genesis, a new open-source simulation system, enables robots to practice tasks at speeds 430,000 times faster than real-world conditions, helping them learn efficiently in a virtual environment.

  • The platform, developed by researchers led by Zhou Xian of Carnegie Mellon University, processes physics calculations significantly faster than other simulators using advanced graphics technology, enhancing neural network training for future robots.

  • With the ability to generate realistic and dynamic 3D virtual environments using text prompts, Genesis reduces the reliance on costly physical tests and accelerates the development of robotics by simulating diverse scenarios swiftly.
