The tools and strategies behind rapid scaling

Hi ,

I’m launching AI for Founders on Apple Podcast next week; I’d really appreciate a follow when we’re ready.

let’s dive in…

Tip of the spear:

Bybit hacked for almost $1.5 billion in biggest crypto theft ever LINK

  • A hacker stole approximately $1.5 billion in Ethereum and staked Ethereum from Bybit's offline wallet, marking the largest cryptocurrency heist in history.

  • Bybit CEO Ben Zhou confirmed that the hacker manipulated a planned transfer, gaining control of the exchange's cold wallet and directing its funds to an unknown address.

  • The theft accounted for about nine percent of Bybit's assets; however, the exchange has secured 80 percent of the required funding to cover the loss through partner bridge loans.

Apple announces $500 billion mega investment in the US LINK

  • Apple will invest over $500 billion in the United States within the next four years, creating 20,000 jobs and building a new server production facility in Texas.

  • The initiative aims to counteract the effects of trade tariffs imposed by the Trump administration, with Apple previously securing exemptions and planning further US investments for potential tariff protection.

  • Among the investment highlights, a new plant in Houston will manufacture servers for Apple's AI services, and the US Advanced Manufacturing Fund will be doubled to $10 billion, supporting various innovation projects.

Nvidia unveils an AI for genetic research LINK

  • Nvidia and its research collaborators have introduced Evo 2, the largest AI system for biological research, aiming to accelerate advancements in medicine and genetics.

  • Capable of reading and designing genetic code, Evo 2 was trained on nearly 9 trillion genetic data points from over 128,000 organisms, including bacteria, plants, and humans.

  • Developed with the Arc Institute and Stanford University, the system is accessible to global scientists through Nvidia's BioNeMo platform, potentially aiding in medical and environmental breakthroughs.
